A Love Letter
to the
Pacific Northwest
Hello! My name is Cody, I'm a freelance and hobbyist photographer that has spent the last 6 years in Alaska blending together aviation and photography. The sole focus of my work is to present to you the hypnotic allure of the Aurora Borealis, snowcapped mountains, frozen rivers, and bitter cold glaciers of Alaska.
This is my visual love letter to the Pacific Northwest.
THE COLLECTIONS
AERIAL
In the beginning stages of exploring different photography dynamics I decided to purchase a drone. Shortly thereafter I began pursuing my pilots license and this opened up opportunity to take photos from the sky. This created new dimensions and perspectives to my work. These images allow viewers to soar with me offering a fresh, awe-inspiring viewpoint of Alaska's unrivaled beauty.
​Aurora Borealis
My fascination with the Aurora Borealis was born from a cold Alaskan September night in 2018. A drive into the mountains late at night landed me right in the middle of, to this day, the most incredible Aurora Borealis show I have ever seen. A true introduction to the beauty of mother nature. Ever since that night I was hooked. I started to plan my photography around them, making each and every night a special date with the sky, patiently awaiting those rare moments when the night sky transforms into an ocean of bright greens and reds.
AVIATION
Ever since I can remember I have been obsessed with all things aviation, from general aviation aircraft to military fighter jets. The raw power, maneuverable capabilities, speed and precision of airplanes is utterly enthralling. Through my photography I have aimed to capture the spirit of aviation through my camera lenses. In the Pacific Northwest, where aviation plays a pivotal role in connecting the region's remote corners from small aircraft, seaplanes, and military jets providing national defense to our key borders, the goal is that my images pay homage to this vital part of Alaska's culture.

Immersed in the unparalleled beauty of the Pacific Northwestern state of Alaska, there was a calling that told me to begin capturing this remote part of the worlds unmistakable vast grandeur.
